Construction payroll for trades businesses
Payroll in a trade shop is not the same as payroll in an office. You have field labor, overtime, multiple rates, sometimes prevailing wage, and costs that need to hit the right job.
I help contractors and trades businesses in Central Texas keep payroll clean and tied to the books. That includes regular processing support and certified payroll when the work requires it.
What this covers
· Payroll processing support for your crew
· Clean records that match the books
· Job costing of labor when we are tracking jobs
· Certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting when it applies
· Coordination with whatever payroll software you already use
I have processed biweekly payroll for a large multi-location crew and prepared certified payroll reports for prevailing wage and government contract work. I have also run work in the field, so I know why a missed code or a wrong job on a timesheet turns into a mess later.
How this usually fits
Some shops already have a payroll provider and just need the books and job costs to match. Some need more hands-on help. We sort that out on the first call instead of forcing you into a package that does not fit.
If you are bidding public work or already on a job that needs certified payroll, say that up front. That changes the setup.
What I do not do
I am not your tax preparer and I am not an employment attorney. I keep the payroll records clean, coded correctly, and ready for you and your CPA. Tax filings and legal questions stay with the people who handle those.
Service area
Leander, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Georgetown, Austin, and nearby Central Texas. Payroll support is remote. We can walk through a current process on a call.
If payroll is eating time in the office or labor is not hitting jobs correctly, we can go through how you run it now and what would make it cleaner.
